Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your PandaPicks account and personal data at any time. This page explains how to request deletion — including without the app installed — and exactly what is removed. Last updated: 20 June 2026.

Delete your account in the app or on the web

The quickest way is from your account settings on any platform: open Settings, scroll to "Delete account", and confirm. This is available in the PandaPicks iOS app, the Android app, and on www.pandapicks.co.uk. Deletion takes effect immediately and you will be signed out.

Request deletion without the app

If you can no longer access the app or your account, email support@pandapicks.co.uk from the address associated with your account and ask us to delete it. We will verify ownership of the account and complete the deletion, normally within 30 days and usually much sooner. You do not need to install or open the app to make this request.

What is deleted

When your account is deleted we anonymise it immediately. Your private data is erased or irreversibly scrambled:

  • Your email address and password are randomised and sign-in is permanently disabled — the account can no longer be accessed.
  • Your username, profile photo, and any badges are cleared.
  • Your saved deals, keyword alerts, notifications, and notification preferences are deleted.
  • Your contact entry is removed from our email provider and your uploaded avatar is deleted from storage.
  • The text of every comment you posted is replaced with "[deleted]".

What remains (anonymised)

So that community discussions and vote tallies stay coherent, the public content you created — deals, votes, and comment threads — remains visible but is detached from your identity and shown under an anonymised author, with no link back to you. If you would prefer this public content removed entirely as well, say so in your email to support@pandapicks.co.uk and we will handle it manually.

Data retention after deletion

Anonymisation is applied straight away. Any residual personal data in encrypted backups and diagnostic logs is purged on the retention schedules described in our Privacy Policy (backups within 30 days; error and security logs within 90 days).
